Study:
  • A Phase III Multi-center, Randomized, Open-label trial
  • Untreated non-keratinizing, stage T1-T4 N2-N3 M0 nasopharyngeal carcinoma
  • Chemoradiotherapy followed by Gemcitabine + Cisplatin (n=120) vs Chemoradiotherapy followed by Cisplatin + 5-Fluorouracil (n=120)
Efficacy:
  • 3-year PFS: 83.9% vs. 71.5%, HR:0.54, p=0.023
Safety:
  • Grade≥3: leukopenia (52% vs.29%), neutropenia (32% vs.16%), anemia (20% vs.14%), nausea (20% vs.13%), mucositis (24% vs.28%)
