  • Multicenter, randomized controlled trial (PREOPANC)
  • Resectable or borderline resectable pancreatic cancer
  • 3 cycles of gemcitabine combined with RT (n=119) or upfront surgery plus adjuvant 4 cycles gemcitabine (n=127)
Efficacy:
  • Median follow up: 59 mos
  • OS better with neoadjuvant CRT (HR:0.73, p= .025)
  • 5 year OS: 20.5% vs 6.5%
Safety:
  • Serious AE: 52% vs 41%
  • Major surgical complications or postoperative mortality not different
